Our various 15 days tour combines trekking through wild-romantic landscapes and an amazing desert with visits of the most famous and impressive sights of Jordan. At the lowest point on the earth‘s surface, the Dead Sea as well at the end of your trip at the Red Sea in Aqaba you have time to float, swim and relax.

Day 1: Arrival in Amman
We welcome you at Queen Alia International airport in Amman. Transfer to your hotel in Amman.
Day 2: Amman City tour – Jerash – Ajlun – Amman
After breakfast start a short city tour of Amman including visits to the Citadel and Roman Theater. Continue to Jerash, 45 km north of Amman. The city was built in the 2nd century BC. Jerash is a fine example of the grand provincial urbanism found in all Roman cities in the Middle East, consisting of Colonnaded Streets, Baths, Temples and Theatres, Public Squares and Plazas. After a few hours taking in this impressive site you leave for Ajlun Castle. From here you have a splendid view in all four directions. In the late afternoon you drive back to Amman. Day 3: Omayyad Desert Castles
The Omayyad Desert Castles are situated east of Amman. Today you will explore the 4 most famous Desert Castles – Qasr al Karaneh, Qasr al Amra – an UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the best preserved monuments -, Qasr al Azraq near the Azraq Wetland Reserve and Qasr Al Hallabat. Jordan’s Desert Castles are beautiful examples of early Islamic art and architecture, stand testament to a fascinating era in the country’s rich history. Their mosaics, frescoes, stone and stucco carvings and illustrations tell countless stories of the life as it was during the 8th century. Hotel overnight in Amman or Madaba. (B)
Day 4: Wadi Mujib
After breakfast you drive to Wadi Mujib, Jordan’s own „Grand Canyon“.
You will hike the Siq Trail (3 hours), grade: moderate. It starts at the visitors center and is an easy hike into the main gorge of the Mujib River. You follow the course of the river between towering sandstone cliffs to the base of the large waterfall. The gorge may contain pools deep enough for swimming. Also here, hikers should expect to climb rocks against the water flow and jump into pools of water.
Note that Wadi Mujib is closed when the weather is bad or when rain is predicted.
The afternoon you will spend at the nearby Dead Sea. Floating in it‘s salty water will be an unforgettable experience. Overnight at your hotel at the Dead Sea. (B)
Day 5: Dead Sea
Enjoy your stay in your comfortable hotel. Experience the unique feeling to float in the salty water of the Dead Sea or try a pampering treatment in the Spa. Because of it‘s location, 400 meters below sea level, there is an extraordinary sunset to watch. Hotel overnight at the Dead Sea. (B)
Day 6: Mount Nebo – Madaba – Karak – Dana
You leave the Dead Sea and drive to Mount Nebo from where Moses had the first view of the Holy Land. From there you have a fantastic view over the steep slopes of the Jordan valley to the Dead Sea and Jericho. You continue to Madaba where you visit the St. George Church which became world-famous for its impressive mosaic floor showing the map of the Promised Land. After you drive to Karak, where you explore the immense crusaders castle built in the 12th century. It is situated on the Kings Highway on top of a 1000m high mountain, which the Arabic Sultan Saladin conquers in year 1189. Continue following the Kings Highway southwards to Dana for overnight. Day 7: Dana Biosphere Reserve
The only reserve in Jordan that encompasses 4 different bio-geographical zones of the country. Many of Dana Biosphere Reserve’s animals and plants are very rare. A total of 800 plant species and 449 animal species have been recorded in the Reserve. Today we go on a downhill hike through the sandstone gorge of Wadi Dana which connect Dana with Feynan. Distance 14 km, time 6 hrs. After arrival in Wadi Feynan you will be transfered through Wadi Araba and the Little Petra area to Petra. Hotel overnight in Petra (B/LB/D)
Days 8 & 9: Petra
1985 the town was declared world cultural heritage by the UNESCO and belongs to the 7 New Wonders of the World.
2 days you will explore Petra with it‘s spectacular monuments of the incredible Nabatean architecture – Temples and Tombs, the Siq – a 1,5 km long narrow gorge, the Treasury and the Monastery as well as the High Place of Sacrifice from where you have a fantastic view over the rock town.
The first day you will be guided through Petra‘s valley while at the second day you have time to explore Petra by yourself.

Day 10: Wadi Rum Desert
Say farewell to Petra and drive South. After 1,5 hours of driving you reach Wadi Rum, one of the most impressive deserts of the Middle East. About 4 hours you will hike through this amazing landscape. You want to explore Wadi Rum in the traditional Bedouin way – on the back of a camel? Your ,desert-ship‘ will carry you softly swinging through the sand. In the evening you enjoy the silence and unique landscape around the burning campfire with the mountains lighted up deep-red by the setting sun. Camp overnight (B/LB/D)
Day 11: Wadi Rum – Aqaba
Today you will explore the Wadi Rum Desert by a 4 hours jeep tour. You pass ancient rock drawings, big sand dunes, the ruins of T.E. Lawrence’s House and unusual rock formations – sandstone, formed like mushrooms and bridges. During the tour there are some stops to explore the beautiful landscape and to enjoy a glass of traditional tea. After returning to the camp you‘ll have a fresh lunch before you leave to Aqaba at the Read Sea. Hotel overnight in Aqaba. (B/L)
Days 12 & 13: Aqaba at the Read Sea
Time to relax. Magnificent coral bays and colorful fish swarms allure to snorkel. Relax at long beaches in the South of Aqaba or do some shopping in the souks of the town. (B)
Day 14: Aqaba – Amman
Free time in Aqaba until early afternoon. Then you will be transferred to your hotel in Amman. Hotel overnight (B)
Day 15: Return flight
Transfer to the airport of Amman for departure. (B)
