On this classical tour you will visit the important cultural sights of Jordan. Amman with it‘s Citadel and Roman Theatre, the world-famous city of Petra, Jerash, Ajlun, Madaba & Mt. Nebo as well as Karak Castle. By jeep you will explore the amazing landscape of Wadi Rum Desert. On the lowest point of the earth‘ surface you will have an unique experience of floating in the Dead Sea.

Day 1: Arrival in Amman
We welcome you at Queen Alia International airport in Amman. Transfer to your hotel in Amman.
Day 2: Amman City Tour
Full day city tour in Amman, including visits to the Citadel, National Archaeological Museum, Roman Theatre, Folklore Museum, King Abdallah Mosque and the Souks. Visit Qasr Al Abd in Wadi Seer, a suburb in Amman. Hotel overnight Amman. (B)
Day 3: Amman – Jerash – Ajlun – Amman
After breakfast we visit Jerash, the antique, very well-preserved Roman excavation site. After taking in this impressive site we leave for Ajlun Castle. From here we have a splendid view in all four directions. Transfer back to Amman for overnight. (B)
Day 4: Amman – Mount Nebo – Madaba – Karak – Petra
We leave Amman and drive to Mount Nebo from where Moses had the first view of the Holy Land. From there we have a fantastic view over the steep slopes of the Jordan valley to the Dead Sea and Jericho. We continue to Madaba where we visit the St.George Church which became world-famous for its impressive mosaic floor showing the map of the Promised Land. After we drive to Karak, where we explore the immense crusaders castle built in the 12th century. It is situated on the Kings Highway on top of a 1000m high mountain, which the Arabic Sultan Saladin conquers in year 1189. Continue following the Kings Highway southwards to Petra for overnight. (B)
Day 5 & 6: Petra
In 2 days you will explore Petra with it‘s spectacular monuments of the incredible Nabatean architecture – Temples and Tombs, the Siq, a 1,5 km long narrow gorge, the Treasury and the Monastery as well as the High Place of Sacrifice.
The first day a special local guide from the Visitor‘s Centre of Petra will lead you for 2 hours through Petra. He will explain you the most important sights and the rest of the day you can explore Petra by yourself. The second day you will enter Petra via the backdoor together with a local Bedouin guide. With your guide you will walk to the Monastery, the biggest facade of Petra, after you have the rest of the day to explore more yourself. Petra is an enormous site and you can easily spend 2 full days here. 2x hotel in Petra (2x B)
In Petra you have the opportunity to enjoy the traditional Turkish Hammam.
In the evening you could attend the Petra by Night program.
Numberless candles line the way through the Siq and light up the place in front of the Treasury. Listen to Bedouin music and stories, feeling the magical atmosphere.
(Please note that the Petra by Night program only takes place each Monday, Wednesday and Thursday evening. This is optional and not included in the price.)
Day 7: Wadi Rum – Jeep Tour
We leave Petra and go South. You will explore the beautiful Wadi Rum Desert by a 4- hours jeep tour. We pass ancient rock drawings, big sand dunes, the ruins of T.E. Lawrence’s House and unusual rock formations – sandstone, formed like mushrooms and bridges. Dinner at the desert camp. Take in the silence and unique landscape around the burning campfire with the mountains lighted up deep-red by the setting sun. Camp overnight (B/LB/D)
Day 8 Aqaba
After breakfast you will transfer to Aqaba for a free day relaxing at the Red Sea where you can enjoy beautiful snorkeling and much more! Overnight Aqaba (B)
Day 9: Wadi Rum – Dead Sea
After breakfast we drive via the Wadi Araba Road to the Dead Sea, the lowest point on the earth‘s surface: 400 meters below sea level. Time to relax at the beach or at the pool area of the resort. Hotel overnight at the Dead Sea. Enjoy your stay in a comfortable hotel. Experience the unique feeling to float in the salty water of the Dead Sea or try a pampering treatment in the Spa. Because of it‘s location, 400 meters below sea level, there is an extraordinary sunset to watch. Hotel overnight at the Dead Sea. (B)
Day 10: Return Flight
Transfer to the airport of Amman for departure. (B)
