Continue to Mount Nebo, from where Moses viewed the Promised Land. From here we have a fantastic view over the steep slopes of the Jordan valley to the Dead Sea and Jericho. After visiting the Moses Church we drive down to the Dead Sea, the lowest point on the earth‘s surface: 400 meters below sea level. A chance to float in the salty waters, an unique experience!

After lunch we drive for another 3 hours to the old settlement of Beidha (Little Petra) where we visit the rock tombs, cisterns and frescoes to get the first impression of the unique Nabatean architecture. From there we drive to your hotel in Petra. (B)

After breakfast  we walk to the Visitor Center of Petra. Today you will visit Petra by entering via the famous Siq, just like Indiana Jones. Visit the Tresasury, Street of Facades, Theatre and walk up to the Monastery (it is a lot of walking but definitely worth it). On your way back don’t forget to stop at the Royal Tombs who look even more beautiful when the sun is getting lower.
Tonight you will enjoy a dinner at a local family in Wadi Musa, the village next to Petra. Experience the famous Jordanian hospitality at its best with a delicious local dinner. (B/D)

Day 4: Petra via Al Madras, the “secret route”
Today we enter Petra via a different route. We walk up via the Al Madras route, also called the secret route. Around of the Siq until we see the Treasury from above! From here you have an impressive view on one of the most famous facades of Petra. We continue to the High Place of Sacrifice and then go back down via Wadi Farasa, returning to the city centre of Petra. The rest of the day you have free to explore even more of Petra. (B)
In the late afternoon you have the opportunity to enjoy the traditional Turkish Hammam.

Day 5: Wadi Rum – Camel Riding
We leave Petra and drive south. In Wadi Rum we meet our Bedouin escort for the camel rides. Enjoy the first ride through the beauty of Wadi Rum, passing sand dunes and sandstone mountains. You will reach the camp for overnight in the late afternoon. Take in the silence and unique landscape around the burning campfire with the mountains lighted up deep-red by the setting sun. Around the campfire we enjoy dinner, while thousands of stars sparkle in the sky. (B/L/D)
